Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Castle0 ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Castle0 is operated by Castle0, Inc.

2. Description of Service

Castle0 provides AI-powered application building, hardening, deployment, and monitoring services. The Service includes: the App Builder (build.castle0.dev), the Consumer platform (castle0.dev), Ship (hardening and deployment), Live (monitoring), and the Developer API.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. Credits and Payments

Castle0 uses a credit-based system for AI-powered builds. Credits are charged based on actual API token usage. New accounts receive 10 free credits. Credit purchases are non-refundable. Ship and Live services are billed as one-time or recurring payments through Stripe.

5. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

You may provide your own API keys for OpenAI or Anthropic ("BYOK"). When using BYOK, you are responsible for your own API costs. Castle0 encrypts BYOK keys at rest using AES-256-GCM. Castle0 is not responsible for charges incurred on your third-party API accounts.

6. Developer API

The Developer API is subject to rate limits based on your plan tier. API keys must be kept confidential. Abuse of the API, including exceeding rate limits or using the API for unauthorized purposes, may result in suspension or termination.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all code and content you create using Castle0. Castle0 retains ownership of the Service, including the hardening pipeline, pattern library, and all proprietary technology. Templates provided by Castle0 are licensed for your use without restriction.

8. Limitation of Liability

Castle0 is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Castle0 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Castle0 may retain your data for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations.
